Dr. Ann Branan Horak serves as an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in the College of Liberal Arts.
In her over twenty years at UTEP, she has taught English Literature, Religious Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies and served in numerous administrative roles.
In 2017, Dr. Horak was awarded the University of Texas System Regents Outstanding Teaching Award in recognition of her teaching and service contributions.
She volunteers extensively and was awarded a 2019 Women of Impact Award for her work in the El Paso community. Dr. Horak also sits on the Board of the YWCA El Paso Del Norte Region and the El Paso Holocaust Museum.
She is married to Charles Horak with whom she has three grown children.
