Cristina Ayala
Fundraising Consultant
Cristina Ayala is a fundraising and management consultant who works exclusively on progressive political and nonprofit campaigns with particular focus on women, people of color, and the Texas Border. She has raised more than $352M for causes across Texas and the globe.
Her clients have included: Jose Garza for Travis County District Attorney, Rochelle Garza for Texas Attorney General, Celia Israel for Mayor of Austin, Cambio Texas, Equality Texas, WRISE, Rock the Vote, and the Muslim Student Association among others.
Previously, she served as the Deputy Director at Annie’s List, a PAC that recruits progressive, pro-choice Texas women to run for office, Finance Director at the Texas Democratic Party, and Deputy Director at UNICEF USA, Los Angeles.
Cristina founded New Leaders Council South Texas Frontera, the only chapter on the Border, and was a LEAD Trainer for the national organization. She is on the board of Austin Women Invest to Elect and served on the Board of Street Business School, a global nonprofit partnering with local leadership to develop entrepreneurship skills in the world’s most impoverished women.
Cristina has an undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, a master’s degree from the University of Southern California, and a social sector leadership certificate from UC Berkeley. She’s from the Border town of Mission, Texas. Cristina lives in Austin with her dachshund, Oliver.
