Statement from YWCA USA CEO Alejandra Y. Castillo:Today, our prayers and support are with the people of El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.  Yet once again, we stand with communities that have been terrorized by active shooters whose only goal is to unleash fear, inflict pain and cause great loss of innocent life. Our YWCA network is here to support El Paso, Dayton, and all communities that have experienced the senseless tragedy of gun violence, and to help heal the trauma that gun violence inflicts. No community deserves this level of pain. We call on Congress and our national leaders to act now to end the fear and put in place common-sense solutions that work to create safe communities where women, girls, and families can thrive.
